We are a small, family owned Ely, MN resort and BWCA wilderness outfitter on
Fenske Lake located just off the scenic Echo Trail north of Ely, MN. Our love of canoe camping, fishing, hunting and trapping along with the variety of winter activities we enjoy has taken us into parts of the Superior National Forest seldom visited by human traffic. For the past 27 years this has literally been our backyard and it is our pleasure to share this knowledge with you.
Fenske Lake is surrounded by numerous Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCAW)
entry points which makes us the perfect choice as your Ely, MN Boundary Waters Canoe Outfitter and/or your Ely, MN resort vacation. Due to the size of our lake and
connecting lakes we can offer a true wilderness adventure either for
the
day or by the night with our
cabin / canoe trip combo. Another perk to vacationing on a smaller lake is on windy days you can still get out in a canoe or row boat.
Our
secluded cabins are only feet from the waters edge; and although sprinkled with a few modern convienences they still offer that old fashioned coziness we search for in a "true" northwoods vacation.
Although motors are allowed on all lakes outside the Boundary Waters (BWCAW); due to the size of our lake and our desire in keeping with the wilderness theme we encourage our guests to paddle more and
motor less.
