Our cabins are in perfect harmony with our location, unpretentious with emphasize on the Superior National Forest / Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Our guests will enjoy the simple things in life by our keeping the rustic quality and serenity as the main attraction to our cabins. Our focus is on guests who want to experience the wilderness without the lodges, activities and communal interactions.
You will find no televisions, junk mail, whirlpool tubs, dishwashers, pool tables or king size beds ( Feng Shui experts say that a king size bed is not a good choice for a couple ) at our resort.

EMPLOYMENT: We are looking for one hard working, easy going individual who will take ownership in their duties at our establishment. Although we are a small resort and outfitter we are very busy. ETO has a reputation for providing exceptional, friendly service.
QUALIFICATIONS: FLEXIBLE. In this line of work you must be able to drop what you're doing and move onto another task (without complaining). This requires an easygoing personality. We are also looking for persons with a willing spirit and a strong work ethic. The hours are long and work can be heavy. Canoes weigh from 38 pounds to 78 pounds and you must be able to carry them. You will need a valid drivers license and we prefer non smokers. Organizational skills very handy. Some carpentry skills beneficial. MUST have some BWCAW experience.
DUTIES: (by all means not all of them)
- Greeting and checking in customers for outfitting and cabin people.
- Packing, issue travel permits and bwcaw orientation.
- Canoe camping demostrations such as paddling techniques, care of canoe and camping equipment, etc
- Maintenence and repair of outfitting equipment and canoes.
- Handle cash register, store inventory.
- Keep proper inventory in outfitting room.
- Load / unload canoes and equipment.
- Drive canoes to and from the various entry points.
- Clean cabins, bunkhouse, shower house, fish house, bath rooms, store and outfitting room. Make beds, mop floors, etc.
- Grounds and building maintenence. Mow, weed wack, rake, split wood, work with power tools.
- You must be able to work alone and follow through with the task assigned to you.
- Must work long hours, five - six days a week and all weekends especially Saturdays due to our change-over day at the resort.
DRESS CODE: WE provide you with T-shirts and sweatshirt with our logo on it for your convenience. However do to the project of the day you may need to wear work clothes that can be stained. We expect you to be well groomed and presentable.
You will provide your own lodging, meals and transportation. We can help with the lodging.
During the course of the summer we will make it possible for you to enjoy a boundary waters canoe trip free of charge.
We love working in the Outfitting and Resort business and we are confident you will enjoy it as well. Our customers are more friends than customers and we want to make them feel that way.
